How to Classify TFT LCD Panel--TFT LCD Panel Manufacturer
Following is a description of the common TFT color panel:
Va type: Va type LCD panel is widely used in current display products. In high-end products, 16.7M color (8bit panel) and large visual angle are its most obvious technical characteristics. At present, the VA type LCD panel is divided into two types: MVA and PVA.
MVA: It is a multi-quadrant vertical alignment technology. It uses protrusions to make liquid crystals stationary, instead of the traditional upright type, but inclines to a certain angle; when applied voltage to change the liquid crystals to a horizontal level so that the backlight can pass faster, which can greatly shorten the display time, but also because the protrusions change the orientation of liquid crystals, so that the visual field angle is wider. The angle of view can be increased to more than 160 degrees, and the reaction time can be shortened to less than 20 ms.
PVA type: Samsung launched a panel type, is a vertical image adjustment technology, which directly changes the structure of liquid crystal cells, so that the display efficiency can be greatly improved to achieve better brightness output and contrast than MVA. In addition, on the basis of these two types, two types of improved S-PVA and P-MVA panels are extended. They are more advanced in technology development. The visual angle can reach 170 degrees, and the response time can be controlled within 20 milliseconds (using Overdrive to accelerate to 8ms GTG), while the contrast can easily exceed 700:1. Most of the products of Samsung's own brand are PVA liquid crystal panels.
IPS type: IPS type LCD panel has many advantages, such as large visual angle, fine color and so on. It looks more transparent. This is also a method to identify IPS type LCD panel. Many PHILIPS LCD displays use IPS type LCD panel. S-IPS is the second generation of IPS technology. It introduces some new technologies to improve the gray scale reversal of IPS mode in some specific angles. LG and Philips own panel manufacturers are also IPS-based LCD panels.
TN type: This type of LCD panel is used in entry-level and mid-end products. It is cheap and cheap, and has been selected by many manufacturers. In technology, compared with the first two types of LCD panels, the technical performance is slightly inferior. It can not show 16.7M brilliant color, but can only achieve 16.7M color (6bit panel), but the response time is easy to improve. Visual angle is also limited to a certain extent, the visual angle will not exceed 160 degrees. Nowadays, TN LCD panels are mostly used in products with response time less than 8ms in the market.
