Introduction to Display Resolution of TFT LCD Screen--TFT LCD Screen Manufacturer
Display resolution, also known as pixel resolution, is short for resolution. It refers to the number of pixels that can be displayed on the display. It is usually expressed by multiplying the number of pixels per row by the number of pixels per column. For example, a liquid crystal screen with a resolution of 1024 *768 indicates that the display can display 768 rows and 1024 columns with a total of 786432 pixel points. Since each pixel point is composed of three pixel units (or sub-pixels) R, G and B, which can display red, green and blue respectively, there are about 2.4 million RGB pixel units (1024 *3 *768=2359296). Similarly, for LCD screens with resolution of 800 *600, 600 rows and 800 columns can be displayed, with a total of 480000 pixels and 1440000 pixel units. Obviously, the higher the resolution, the more pixels the display screen can display, and the clearer the image.
TFT LCD directly converts the analog signal processed by the graphics card into a display signal with specific "address" information. The color and brightness information of any pixel corresponds directly to the pixels on the screen. Therefore, the best effect can be achieved only when the resolution of the screen is exactly the same as that of the LCD panel. The optimal resolution of 14-in and 15-in LCD is 1024*768, and 1280*1024 for 17-in.
When displaying a picture with less than the best resolution, LCD displays in two ways: one is centralized display, for example, when displaying 800 *600 resolution, the display only displays the picture with 800 *600 pixels in the middle, the surrounding is shadows, the picture is clear, but the picture is smaller; the other is enlargement, which enlarges the 800 *600 picture to 102 by calculation. The resolution of 4 x 768 shows that the processed signal does not correspond to the pixels one by one, so the picture is large but blurred.
